Floristry Collection- For beginners - November start
Have you ever said, “I would love to work with flowers” or
“I have always wanted to learn how to be a florist.”
If you are passionate about flowers and want to work in the Floristry industry, this Collection is the way forward, the first step into floristry.
Looking at a range of floristry skills, green techniques and sundries. Reusable vases, containers, and recyclable products, too.
The dates you will be required to attend- November 2025
Mon 3rd, Tue 4th, Tue 11th , Wed 12, & Wed 19th. Start time 10 am- 4 pm
The Collection designs are-
Gathered natural hand-tieds,
Wild vegetative arrangements,
Foraged wreath and a spray,
Floral crown and buttonholes
Surprise floral design.
During the Collection, you will learn:
1. Buying materials suitable for a range of design styles
2. Care and condition flowers and foliage, and understand floristry sundries.
3. Understand the Elements and Principles of Design
4. Creating a selection of different styled designs – Decorative, contemporary and Natural styles.
5. Creating decorative techniques and how to incorporate accessories into your designs.
6. Produce a portfolio of your work – this is entirely up to you, I would recommend taking photos and making notes for future reference.
You will learn how and why we use the Elements and Principles of Design; with this knowledge and with continuous practice, using different materials and colours, you will eventually be able to create floristry designs to a commercial standard. Buying, costing and other basic floristry business knowledge.
I recommend taking notes and photos of your designs and bringing a camera or Smartphone, a notebook, and a pen.
