Floristry Collection for Beginners-September 2026

Begin Your Floristry Journey

The Floristry Collection for Beginners is designed for anyone who has a passion for flowers and wants to develop their creativity while learning professional floristry skills.

Whether you are considering a career in floristry, looking to develop a new creative skill, or simply want to immerse yourself in the beauty of flowers, this practical five-day course will give you the knowledge, techniques and confidence to create beautiful floral designs to a commercial standard.

At Inspired Floristry, we believe flowers are more than something to arrange. They are a creative medium inspired by nature.

Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to look closely at the natural character, movement and form of flowers and foliage, while developing your own creative style and understanding why good floral design works.

The dates you will be required to attend-

Mon 21st - 25th September,

Start time 10 am- 4 pm

The Floristry Collection

Across five full days, you will create a collection of practical floral designs:

·      A Gathered Hand-tied Bouquet

·      A Wild All-round Arrangement

·      A Foraged-style Wreath

·      A Meadow-inspired Design

·      A Floral Head Dress

·      A Selection of Buttonholes

What You Will Learn

The course combines practical making with the knowledge behind professional floristry. You will learn to:

  1. Create a variety of decorative, contemporary and natural-style floral designs.

  2. Understand and apply the Elements and Principles of Design.

  3. Develop decorative techniques and learn how to incorporate accessories into your work.

  4. Photograph and record your designs to begin building your own portfolio and visual reference.

  5. Understand the basics of costing floral designs and gain an introduction to the commercial side of the floristry industry.

A key part of the course is understanding why florists use the Elements and Principles of Design. Rather than simply copying a finished design, you will learn the foundations that help you make confident creative decisions and produce work to a commercial standard.

I recommend taking notes and photos of your designs and bringing a camera or Smartphone, a notebook, and a pen.
